Project Overview

Project Title: Turning the Curve
Background: Co-operation and Working Together (CAWT) is the cross border health and social care partnership, comprising the Health Service Executive in the Republic of Ireland and the Southern and Western Health & Social Care Trusts, the Health and Social Care Board and the Public Health Agency in Northern Ireland. CAWT has been successful in  securing funding from the European Union INTERREG IVA programme to progress a two and a half year cross border ‘Turning the Curve’ project.

Project Description

Target Group: Children, young people and families referred into level two services, who have specific identified health and social care needs.
Aims:

The project will support the needs of children with Autism and their families through the provision of specific family support programmes across the border region, which will be integrated with voluntary supports and approaches currently available.

Objectives:

The project will work with HSE staff and community and voluntary providers in the CAWT border region to provide integrated family support to specific families.  It will work with children, young people and families referred into level two services, who have specific identified health and social care needs.

Duration: 2.5 years
Location:

The project will be based in the border region. Learning from the project will be widely shared across the EU INTERREG IVA eligible area.  Providers will seek to integrate the knowledge gained into mainstream health and social care service provision.
